We developed the plan to help patients understand the shape of treatment and aftercare at a time when information can be difficult to absorb.
Case study
Patient advocates and Dr Cathriona Kearns developed the Breast Cancer Treatment and Aftercare Plan together. It was rolled out in breast clinics at the Mater Hospital Dublin and University Hospital Cork.
We structured the plan to help patients navigate treatment, record results and appointments, and keep important information about their healthcare team in one place.
It also brings together services, practical guidance and questions patients may want to ask healthcare professionals.
