Kasingo School, Ghana

Classroom murals developed with teachers and volunteers using locally sourced materials.

This volunteer project was shaped by the teachers’ curriculum and delivered collaboratively using materials that could be maintained locally.

Case study

We volunteered at Kasingo School in Bolgatanga, where the teachers briefed us on their curriculum and supplied guidelines for the letterforms.

Together, we decorated three classrooms with alphabets, words, numbers and colour descriptions, adapting the content for different age groups.

All materials were sourced locally so that future upkeep would be practical.
